Solana's Devnet is now back online after it was successfully restarted and undergone patch integration by engineering teams.

This is following the three days of downtime due to a technical issue.

Solana mainnet-beta validators have been undergoing an upgrade with about 64% of validators upgraded to v1.18.1

The reason for this as part of the various upgrades in the series of upgrades occuring since April is to improve the network performance and enhance stability.

SOLANA 2024 UPDATES
Over the last few months the Solana ecosystem has undergone some upgrades and updates. Here's the rundown of these lastest innovations

TOKEN EXTENSIONS:
- Confidential Transfers: One major use of this extensions are to enable confidential token transfers.
- Transfer Hooks: There are also custom programs to control token transfers.
- Metadata Pointer: This would help designate sources for token metadata.

NEW VALIDATOR CLIENTS:
